8 months out from the 2019 London Marathon, a health deterioration resulted in me becoming a wheelchair user. Determined to achieve my dream of taking part in the race I turned to training in my wheelchair. With lots of hard work and determination, I not only completed the marathon but found a love for long distance racing.
I have gone on to complete a number of marathons including Chicago, New York and Berlin. In 2023 I completed the London Marathon in 3:00:56, breaking the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Marathon in a non-racing wheelchair (female). I am also a competitive wheelchair racer with the Weir Archer Academy, competing on both the track and the road most recently winning the 2023 Dublin Marathon.
I really enjoy ultra racing and have completed Comrades Marathon in South Africa in my day chair on 2 occasions as well as completing the Centurion Track 100 Miles event achieving 6 world records. I first got involved in running through parkrun, and continue to participate most weeks and have now completed nearly 250 parkruns at over 100 different events.
Outside of racing, I play wheelchair rugby with Harlequins Rugby Club and Wheelchair Cricket with Surrey Cricket Club.
