Hey, long time no see! In the UK lockdown is finally easing up, we can almost taste the mud and feel the energy of the crowd at the next race event! Normality feels so close. Whilst this has been a tough time for the events industry, one positive thing that has come out of this lockdown malarkey is a newfound appreciation for outdoor sports. It seems like everyone has turned to cycling, hiking, running, paddle boarding and kayaking. Many of us have been turning to sports as a way to blow off steam, to get out and about safely and socially distanced, and to inject a bit of excitement into what was otherwise a rather trying time.

Whilst we have been off the radar a bit with our beloved races cancelled, we have been enjoying the great outdoors and squirreling away working on a few exciting partnerships and projects for Kitbrix. Want to know what we’ve been up to?

1. We partnered with Be Military Fit (BMF) to host a competition for some of their newer members to be in with the chance of winning a Kitbrix.

2. We partnered with Always Aim High to reward the winners of their virtual race day with Kitbrix products- not even a lockdown will stop us racing!

3. We exhibited at the virtual running show hosted by National Running Show.

4. We exhibited at the STA Swim Expo

… we just love how the sports and leisure industry as a whole has pulled together to support one another and share the love of outdoors! Who knows, maybe virtual racing will be the new big thing?

We’ve expanded our horizon! Kitbrix has now touched down in the United Arab Emirates. We have partnered with Sported to bring our gear to sunnier climates. That’s right, Kitbrix is not only perfect for the wind and rain of the UK, but also stands up to the test of desert, sand, humidity and sweat (a lot of it!). In celebration of our new partnership, Sported will be hosting a ‘Kitbrix’ themed month, so watch out for some interesting content coming from them. You can shop their range here. 

Another exciting partnership that we have been working on during lockdown is our partnership with Love Open Water and National Open Water Coaching Association (NOWCA)! With their passion for adventure and sports equal to ours it was a no brainer to team up and share with you. To help our team celebrate the launch of the new Love Open Water Website we have created a Kitbrix x Love Open Water bag. You can shop our unique creation here.
